Art Deco 1930's Platinum Diamond Solitaire Ring (marked PLAT). This ring also bears the makers mark 'BIRKS' denoting that it was manufactured by Henry Birks & Son jewellery maker est. 1879 from Montreal, Canada.
The old cut, central diamond, measuring approximately .30 carat is claw set into an open backed setting to allow the light to shine through. Each shoulder is set with one baguette and one round cut diamond weighing approximately .2 carat each side, leading to a plain band shank. This ring has a simple pierced out gallery.
A stylish Art Deco piece that would make an excellent choice for an engagement ring.
